Commercial Mezzanine Floor in Northumberland
Brief
M R S Storage Solutions were approached by one of the UK's largest bookstores who required additional storage areas, offices and cooking facilities within their tight building. An added concern was the feasability of the floor in a listed building.
Consultation
Our local project manager discussed the requirements with the client and carried out a site survey. After discussing the options with the local council our building inspectors and the client, our project manager created two mezzanine floors joined by a ramp. These floors would also have a good lift for carrying books to the upstairs storage area. Below the floor was designed to be offices and kitchen area for the cafe. To meet local council regulation the floor could not touch the edge of the building in any way.
Supply
The Mezzanine Floor(s) order was passed to our supplier and a four week delivery was scheduled, to co-inside with the delivery of the office partitioning and suspended ceiling.
Installation
The installation went very well, the entire project was finished on time and budget, the client was extremely satisfied.
